Q.  What should I expect on my first visit?

After a full History we complete a comprehensive Orthopaedic, Neurological, and Chiropractic examination.  Any x-rays are covered by Medicare.  A full verbal report is given on the subsequent visit.

Q.  What will treatment involve? Is it comfortable?  Will the Chiropractor ‘crack’ me?Treatment involves a variety of gentle mobilising techniques designed to improve the function of the spine.  Different techniques suit different people, so we find a technique that both (i)works for you and (ii)you are completely comfortable with.  Dr Becker will only use a technique that a patient is comfortable with.  The aim of our work is to mobilise seized vertebrae, not to ‘crack’ them.

Q.  Is Chiropractic safe?Yes.  Chiropractic care is 100 to 400 times safer than anti-inflammatory medications (NSAIDS).

Q.  I’ve heard Chiropractic can help with things other than pain and headaches.  Is this true?Yes.  The nerves of the central nervous system that sit in the spine carry nerve messages that travel from the brain to the body, telling the body what to do.  By taking pressure off the spine Chiropractic removes the irritation to these nerves and improves the flow of nerve messages.  Good  nerve flow brings health.  There is a large variety of general health conditions that respond well to Chiropractic.  For advice on whether Chiropractic can help your case, feel free to contact us.

Q.  How long do I need to see the Chiropractor for?How long care takes depends on a few factors such as how your spine has formed and how long the problem has been present.  In your verbal report you will be told exactly how much care is needed.  Once spinal problems have been corrected many people choose preventative care because they feel healthier, however that is your choice.
